And we're off....

So, it appears as though I am the LAST to jump on the BLOGwagon, which is fitting when you consider that I was also the last to learn to text, Gchat, and still don't know how to BBM. (I would like to be friends with anyone else out there who recoiled at BBM - it means Blackberry Messenger, FYI.) I'm not afraid of technology. I think maybe I'm just too easily satisfied.  The technological "status quo" works just fine for me.  Need an example? I'm typing on an iBook G4. And you thought these dinosaurs were extinct.

But I digress. The reason I did jump on this wagon is because I have something to share.  Since I got married on January 24, 2009 and moved in with my amazing husband, Matt, I have had a blast decorating our "edgy" loft....on a newlywed budget.  Our place is not huge, but the Pottery Barn credit ran out long before the wall/floor space did.  What was I to do? In the spirit of my coupon-cutting mother, I started shopping...and by shopping, I mean searching, scouring, digging, and even (I admit) collecting discarded items on the street. I hit up every thrift store in L.A. in search of "gently worn" treasures. If you'll indulge me, I'll share them all with you here.

Three cheers for saving money!!!
